This is an overview of the main treatments I offer in my practice.

conservative and surgical treatments
Hyaluron
Hyaluronic acid helps improve the nutrition of the articular cartilage and can thus alleviate osteoarthritis symptoms in the long term, in order to postpone joint replacement surgery.
Location: knee, shoulder, hip, ankle.
Autologous blood injections help support tissue regeneration and alleviate symptoms in both acute and chronic conditions. These treatments can be used for osteoarthritis, muscle and ligament injuries, and also for injuries to the articular cartilage.
SVF
This is a form of therapy in which mesenchymal cells derived from fat cells are mixed with the patient's own blood and injected into the affected joint. The method is considerably more complex.
Arthroscopy
This is a minimally invasive joint surgery using camera technology, in which, for example, the meniscus, cruciate ligament, cartilage or synovial membrane are surgically treated.
I use this technique on knees and ankles.
Anterior cruciate ligament
Since 1995, I have been performing cruciate ligament surgeries, initially using the patellar tendon (ligamentum patellare), and since 2002 using the hamstring tendons. Together with my physiotherapists, we guide patients back to everyday life or competitive sports.
Using specialized techniques, cartilage is processed and mixed with the patient's own blood before being injected into a local cartilage defect. Specialized rehabilitation and follow-up treatment with the patient's own blood then enables a return to athletic activity.
Knee replacements have been an excellent form of therapy for many decades, restoring the functionality of knee joints that are no longer able to bear weight due to severe osteoarthritis. Since 2011, I have used the MyKnee method, which involves precise and individualized surgical planning using CT scans prior to the operation.

Since 2004 I have been operating using minimal hip surgery techniques and since 2007 according to the AMIS method, which aims for minimal damage to the muscles and tissue and faster rehabilitation.
ankle
Arthroscopy can be used to remove cartilage damage and thickening of the synovial membrane. In cases of osteoarthritis, bony growths can also be removed, thus improving the mobility of the ankle joint.
Hallux Valgus
To correct the malposition, surgical bony corrections are performed on the first ray of the foot, and healing is achieved by relieving pressure in a special shoe for six weeks.
hand
Typical procedures include the release of the annular ligaments in trigger finger and surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome.
Dupuytren's contracture can also be surgically corrected.

Where are treatments performed?
Conservative treatments and follow-up treatments after surgical procedures are carried out in my practice; all operations are performed as inpatient procedures at the Wehrle Diakonissen private clinic .
